Site Selection Group Assists Sage with Electronics Repurposing Center

Site Selection Group, a global location advisory, economic incentive and corporate real estate services firm, is proud to announce its role in facilitating a major expansion for Sage Sustainable Electronics with the opening of their fourth national repurposing center in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. The new 45,660-square-foot facility is expected to bring approximately 100 new jobs to the region, supporting Sage’s mission to promote sustainability in technology through electronics repurposing and recycling.
Sage Sustainable Electronics, known for helping businesses retire outdated technology more sustainably, selected the Montgomeryville site to enhance its reach across New England, the New York tri-state area, and the eastern seaboard down to Virginia and Washington, D.C. The new facility will accept a wide range of corporate technology, including endpoint devices, data center hardware, and mobile phones, providing secure and efficient reverse logistics services for corporate clients.
“We’re thrilled to assist Sage in their site selection process and be part of an initiative that aligns with such a strong sustainability mission,” said Jake Wilson. “This facility will not only bolster the local economy but also contribute to environmentally responsible practices that benefit both businesses and the community.”
Sage CEO Robert Houghton emphasized the importance of reusing technology to minimize environmental impact. “Two-thirds of electronics recycled for raw materials are still perfectly functional,” Houghton explained. “By extending the life of technology, we reduce environmental impact twenty-fold while providing greater value recovery for our customers. Our mission is to reuse more and recycle less.”
Sage’s Montgomeryville center will provide refurbishment, repair, and resale services to extend the life of electronics. Certified as an e-Steward and a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, Sage upholds the highest standards in electronics recycling and offers refurbished PCs and mobile devices through its online store.
