New KONE R&D Facility Wins 2014 Top Economic Development Project

The City of Allen and the Allen Economic Development Corporation recognized the new KONE Elevator facility located in Allen, Texas as the 2014 Top Economic Development Project. As a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, KONE will bring 80 new jobs to their build-to-suit facility at AllenPlace. This past May, KONE announced it would be the lead tenant in the first phase of the AllenPlace development and committed to 30,000 square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet of laboratory space, 121,000 square feet of manufacturing space and a state-of-the-art elevator testing tower. Jeff Patman, Senior Vice President at Site Selection Group, was recognized at the ground breaking ceremony for his contribution in representing KONE during the real estate and economic incentive negotiations.
