Kyowa Kirin's Expands Manufacturing into North Carolina

Site Selection Group, a global location advisory, economic incentive and corporate real estate services firm, played a pivotal role in assisting Kyowa Kirin in the selection of its inaugural North American Manufacturing Center to be located in Lee County, North Carolina.
The establishment of this new manufacturing facility represents a significant milestone for Kyowa Kirin, as it marks the company's entry into the North American market. With Site Selection Group's expert guidance, Kyowa Kirin has chosen the ideal location to establish its Center of Excellence in Stanford, focusing on biologics manufacturing.
This strategic move will not only bring over 100 high-quality jobs to Lee County but also inject a substantial $200 million investment into the region. Moreover, the average salary for these new positions will significantly exceed the county’s current average wage. The economic impact of this venture, which is estimated to contribute $1.05 billion to the state's economy over a 12-year term, led to the award of a Job Development Investment Grant in the amount of approximately $1.8 million and local incentives valued at $8.7 million to Kyowa Kirin North American Manufacturing, LLC.
